Honoring & Celebrating Phyllis Mack

Please feel invited to join us for a meaningful gathering to honor the life of a dear friend and community advocate, Phyllis Mack. We will gather in the Community Room at Walsh Manor (1790 W Mosier - SE corner) at 1:30 pm. Around 1:45 pm we will begin sharing stories, memories, poems, and more. This event is being organized by friends of Phyllis.

1:30 - 2:30 - Gather & Share Stories, Poems, & Memories

2:30 - 3:30 - Walk/Roll to Huston Lake & Back

You are invited to bring snacks to share and any photos/memories/stones/flowers to display. No need to bring anything as well as we will have some snacks available provided by Denver Housing staff.

After about an hour, we will invite anyone who is joining us for the walk/roll to Huston Lake, to bring the stone they brought or one of the extra stones available. We will release stones into the lake or nearby it. Phyllis always loved making the trip to the park with friends. In addition to her incredible advocacy work (see this reflection with links here), she loved to invite her neighbors and friends on scavenger hunts throughout Huston Lake. There will also be a donation jar to help support some of the expenses Bill (Phyllis's ex-husband) has had to take on. Lastly, if you know anyone who could use Phyllis's powered scooter - a good quality scooter - let me know and I can connect you with Bill.

There is no need to formally RSVP. Please know that many of us will be out walking to Huston Lake if you arrive after 2:30 pm.
