a certain kind of joy
a certain kind of joy
:
greets you in the morning or in the haunts of what could be
slowly moving bodies hard sun, counting steps 1, 2, 3...
:
birds, cows & grasses watching you, as you go
one foot pain, one foot freedom vibrations of to and fro
:
my sweat becomes the river my swelling absorbed by stone
slowing down so angels see me cradled by the unknown
:
I am still the driver in the car and the child once before
friendly waves and curious smiles my playful heart behind the door
:
the lies that fall like bricks of tears
will grow like cactus for 100 years
:
but soon enough the circle forms
my aching edges like bursting rainbow thorns
:
a certain kind of joy finding home in the wind
one step at a time simple peace on new skin
