gentle & bold still

:

:

gentle & bold still

:

what are

the conditions

that

make

it

safe

to be more fully seen?

:

cosmos touching

through eyes & being

:

no doubt

a gift

and

all

so

trembling

this tension

to

calmly

see?

:

pain erupts

slamming

shut

our eyes

our ears

blocked portals

& dreams

:

what is it

to face

all

that's

within

gently

& boldly still?

:

to gaze

at the shadow

to bring to light

the rock

& cosmic cry

:

I cannot unsee

your story

& mine

dignity

woven in time

:

my birth

my breath

your fears

your wounds

under

the

same

stars

:

mother tree

teach us

to survive the storms

roots

forced

to

go

deeper

more water

more worth

softening branches

ways

of

collective

seekers

:

gentle

& bold still

Thank you for suggesting reading your poem outloud. It was like one long softly-settling exhale. Thank you.
